Louis Vuitton describes the Pochette Métis as a compact, go-everywhere model in Monogram canvas with a distinctive S-lock closure in polished gold-tone metal (Louis Vuitton). It has a top handle and a long detachable strap for wear on the shoulder or across the body, and the house calls it unexpectedly roomy (Louis Vuitton). The canvas version is trimmed in natural cowhide leather and lined in textile, with one zipped pocket outside and three compartments inside (Louis Vuitton).

The house also makes it in Monogram Empreinte leather (Louis Vuitton) and in a longer East West version, with an S-lock clasp, a removable strap and a removable chain (Louis Vuitton).

On a pre-owned example, the date code sits on a leather tab along a side seam of the rear zip pocket, and the Monogram reads upside down on the back because the canvas is cut in one piece (Yoogi’s Closet).
